Bought a Curb Alert from a Forum vendor and had it installed by a quality auto electronics shop about a month ago. It has worked flawlessly until today when it started going off as if I were approaching a curb when I was just driving down the road. This has happened 10-15 time an about an hour. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
I have installed 15 to 20 of these on my Corvettes and Corvette Club members cars, and only one had this issue. We adjusted the front sensor Up 2 clicks. Also make sure the front sensor allen screw is tight and the unit is secure. (do not over tighten the screw or you may damage the unit).
After adjusting the sensor up a couple of clicks, drive up to a curb and make sure the unit beeps at around 16" from the curb. Be sure to have someone watch the outside front, so you don't hit the curb. Drive the car and see if this fixes the problem.
