I'm just really proud of everything. I may have to retune and take my lash cap back out. Buddy blew his motor. And thinks that's the cause of it. So may get re dynoed
Saw that happened to him last night. Knowing Justin it will come back even stronger.

Justin doesn't work for 1320Video but he is friends with Kyle who does own 1320Video. He's co-founder of Street Car Takeover and il is car made 810.

Why does he think the lash cap blew up his motor? I ask because I have one with a +32% fuel lobe. What kind of fuel lobe was he running? How much boost, etc? Thanks!
He actually made 840 now. He put bigger nozzles in his meth kit. And lash cap. So he was able to redline to 6500 and made the 840.. I made 840 with 12 lbs. I now make 908. At 15 lbs

Me and stangkilr both have 32% fuel lobe. We think it's the lash cap bc he been running his setup for thousands of miles. Racing and non racing with no problems. But as soon as he put lash cap in (last week) then his car blows up.. we think it made the mechanical fuel pump fail and motor run lean and boom. Can't prove it was the lash cap. But it's a good theory at this point

Thanks for the reply. If that is the case, he should be able to see some damage to the pump, lash cap or fuel lobe when he takes it apart.

When Justin stated he was going to add that cap onto the top of his already overdriven cam lobe, I voiced concerns about the pump bottoming out.
Since I have never installed one, I didn't know for sure however just like valve springs for cams, they can only go so far before bad stuff starts happening.
That car has been beaten on since the day we started shipping systems. From all the videos online, to the dyno days, and street racing in "mexico" it just seems fishy that it literally started having drivability issues the second that lashcap was added, and then BOOM.

I beat the crap out of mine for 10k miles that the blower and cam was in the car. It has been making 750+ since July 2014. I just find it funny to me that after installing the lash cap not even two weeks ago my engine blows up bad on a easy 2nd gear pull that I shut down at 5,000rpm's.

Totally understand. The problem with nailing down issues is that sometimes these cars just have weird problems that pop up at the strangest times. Take my thrust bearing problem @ 400mi, for example - had we not torn into it, I could have easily thought something else with the cam install caused the engine to go.
Not saying this is the same in your case, but I think by now we've all seen some weird stuff on our first-batch cars.
I'm on your side - just trying to gather more information. The postmortem should give more insight into what happened - I know you've got to be even more interested than the rest of us. Always a bite to not know what takes you down, but we can all take info away from other losses.

I believe the cam increases the pump travel by 1.5mm and the lash cap might be another 1mm. So how much travel does the pump have before the plunger runs out of travel and bottoms out in the pump???????

That sir is a good question. I'm not sure of the whole travel. Maybe Theta has some info on the mechanical pump? On the c7 and the z06 style
