Front pump looks to be in my future, so long as tuning won't be affected. I figure it's just a cheap additional piece of insurance.

Rear won't come into play with my power levels - that's for all the crazy bastards having fun with quad-digits to the wheels.

At these power levels with stock Pistons and pins I would keep a broom and kitty litter close by.........

Hope for the best but plan for the worse. Great numbers for sure though.

Anytime anything changing in the fuel delivery or anything. Car will have to be retuned I'm sure. Not a 100% sure just changing the pump from the c7 to the z06 . It will be more fuel delivery for sure tho.

I may be wrong, but as long as the injectors are delivering the same amount of fuel, no tuning changes should be required. That being said, I've not looked at any of the HPT or EFI tables, so I don't know for sure.

The pump swap should give us additional capacity/safety. The problems are coming in when the injectors cannot deliver enough flow at upper RPMs (at the commanded table rates). The pump would fix that without doing much else (my theory).

Edit: Added last sentence.

WHat power were you making before installing the lash cap and what did you turn it up to with the additional fuel?

Justins situation scares me. I'm fixing to buy the z06 pump and call it good. I should have plenty of fuel for my setup.

I have the lash cap on the c7 pump now. But I don't want it going out.. or bottoming out and causing my motor to go boom.

I was making 840/780 with 12 lbs and no lash cap. My tuner said he doesn't think it does **** for the pump. He didn't notice any increase

Also if u were asking justin what he made. I think it was 810 or 812.. then he did lash cap and upgraded to bigger meth nozzles. There he made 840 I believe

....Okay, I'll bite... How? We'd all love to jump on that train.

I'd list the factory cost/dealer cost/retail breakdowns, but I respect the vendors here too much to do that.

Suffice to say that the price you got one for is... very low.

I don't get how this is possible either. I paid 10% over actual cost. Msrp is like $1400. $350 is way below cost on that part.

That's what I thought - just didn't want to rain on your parade just in case your parts guy mistakenly gave you the C7 cost for the C7Z pump and you got very lucky.
