Default Drive train considerations while trailering

I have been trailering race and street cars for a long time. All of them have been manual transmission cars that I could put into neutral and set the parking brake if equipped. This allows the car to rock/shift a bit without banging the drivetrain each time the car rocks. I will be trailering a C7 automatic soon. I know I can set the electronic parking brake, but I am concerned about leaving it in park and have the car rock against the pawl in the trans during transport. Do you guys with auto transmissions leave it in neutral or park when trailering your car? The owners manual only cautions about towing, and really doesn't mention trailering considerations. I always chock the wheels and strap the wheels down rather than the chassis. Am I being overly cautious about the trans in park?

Well, they transport them all over the country from the factory to the dealers in park... Also I've trailered many auto cars and have never had an issue, if it's bothersome enough to you just put the car in neutral and strap it down like you normally would. Either way I don't see it being an issue.

I always strapped down from the frame tight against front wheel chocks, left the car in park, and set the e-brake. Many tens of thousands of miles and no problems. If you strap elsewhere (instead of from the frame) I can't see why that would be a problem.
