Default o2 sims for headers

In the old days we bought o2 simulators when going catless. Whatever happened to that concept. Why's that not an option for the C7?

Just gets tuned out nowadays - no need for the rears to be in once they're shut off in a catless system.

Because the computers are smarter now so it's not nearly as easy to fool them. That's old tech anyways.

Turn the rear o2's off and be done with it. Any tuner can do that.

Makes sense but this brings one more question. Since a tune job ranges from $500 to $700 I was just thinking I could save a few hundred. I only have 800 miles on the car and will enjoy the headers while adding some miles before adding the supercharger. Hate to tune it twice. Here's the question... Does the LT1 need any timing or fuel adjustments with headers only? Or simply silence the 2nd o2

Installing catless LT headers will absolutely require a tune to adjust your AFR, and of course the O2 detection is just a byproduct of the tune.

I would recommend finding a tuner who would be willing to work with you on price, knowing that you will be doing a supercharger setup (essentially lowering the initial cost and letting you enjoy the LTs for a bit). The S/C setup is much harder to tune than a 'simple' header install. You'll also get a good chunk of additional power from the tune to enjoy in the mean time.
