I called this one clown high performance shop he wanted $750 to install the headers and $750 for tunning. So $1500 I told him no way! $1000 is more than a fair price to install and tune.
Get a buddy and install them yourself! No lift? Raise that sucker up as far as the jack stands will go. Take off the wheels and lay them down under the car. That way if the car drops it lands on the tires. That is what my buddy and I plan to do when I order a set. He did it on his camaro solo so I think one more set of hands and you are good! Then just think with that money you save you get a tune and CAI

This is hearsay but I've been told that on the passenger side they have to be put in from up top.Need to remove the starter and other things.
I think my install was $300 and the tune was $600, but I was also having a Procharger installed as well so the tuning wasn't as simple as just with headers.
Had my headers installed at ARH. It took them about 5 hours, hourly rate is going to vary from shop to shop. On a lift, both headers were removed from the bottom. Even though I have installed headers before, after watching the guys at ARH, I 'am glad that I paid to have it done.
Just for everyone's info I just finished installing ARH long tubes and x pipe on my z51 and there is absolutely no possible way to drop them in from the top. A z51 is a dry sump car and you will need to remove the starter and the dry sump lines to be able to install the headers, I found out the hard way and scratched my ceramic coating up a lot prior to removing the dry sump lines. When removing the lines remember that you will lose about 3-4 quarts of oil so make sure you either catch the oil for reusing or buy more oil to replace what you lose.

I would assume all the good shops know this though, correct?? Like ECS
I called another shop in Phoenix today, was quoted 7 hours labor @100. So with tune and oil change was $1500 and they said they need the car for 2 days. Yikes!!!
