Question on PDR FAT32 SD Card

Question on PDR FAT32 SD Card
Not being the most knowledgeable about all computer things, I have to ask the question: What is a FAT32 SD card? I have SD cards, but have not heard of a "FAT32" SD card. The 2015 owners manual under the PDR section talks about using a FAT32 formatted SD card, Class 10. I understand the Class 10 part being a faster card than say a Class 6. In one other post the member talked about converting or formatting an SD card to a FAT32. Can someone explain what Chevy is designating for use in the PDR?

FAT32 refers to how the card is formatted. If you can view the card on your PC (either with an SD slot or adapter) look at Properties. File System will tell you how the card is formatted. FAT32 is very common. NTFS and exFAT are other choices. You can also format the card FAT32 just to be sure.
