Default ***LMR Breather Setup***

Another run of C7 Breathers almost complete and ready to ship out. If anyone has one on order or shops that have multiple on order you should be receiving tracking numbers by the end of the week. We offer in aluminum and black powder coated. You also have your choice of our standard version with air filters on system under the hood or our relocation kit that moves the fumes outside of engine bay resulting in no smell in the cab of the vehicle. If anyone has any questions or wish to place an order please feel free to pm/email/or call us at the shop today to place your order.

search the forum for "catch can". there is a WEALTH of knowledge on how this functions. that is essentially what this is, but to be specific, while this setup is pricey, its regarded as THE setup to get.

I've been reading about catch cans a lot and considering one. Didn't know this was similar. Thanks.

In addition to what FYREANT said...this breather is also ideal for boosted applications but will also work on N/A vehicles... However, many other catch cans don't have the capacity to handle boosted applications, thus the need for a larger catch can/breather such as this.

I have always checked my can in the c5 after every other race are every few time in WOT. If any can gets filled that fast something is bad wrong. Please if a person dont look over his motor in above time frame hope you have deep pockets.

There's a small 3/8 Allen plug you undo. And what I did was get a small water bottle cut the neck off and place under the breather.. till empty. Put plug back in and go about your day

What's the inside of this catchcan look like? Are there baffles or is this just an open "box"??

There's baffles/layers of metal for venting... not just a box...

I didn't really mean capacity for the oil itself, but more so capacity for the volume of fouled air from crank case pressure. With forced induction (or also just higher hp cars in general) there will be a lot more pressure coming through which the smaller cans wont be able to evacuate/filter well enough, thus the need for a larger, well built unit such as the LMR Catch Can.

Like the looks of this one plus looks big enough and with 2 air filters on it by looks and all should do better than anything out on these car now other than a pump on the car.

A breather and a catch can are different in how they work.

true, but the basic premise is the same. It is close enough that if a user does not know what a catch can or breather is, they can read up on one, and they will in process of reading learn the other..

Robert, my install thread is a bit dated now, but perhaps it can get you started in the right direction.

You can find it here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...es-thread.html

This is post #83 from that thread which has helped several people install these:
