Default 2nd Flex Plate - New Rear Differential

2015 - Z06 - C07 - A8

5900 miles...2nd Flex Plate, and a new Pumpkin (completely new rear differential) being installed this week

Flex Plate - rattling again (after less than 1200 miles)

Service Rear Axle message - causes all kinds of StabilTrac, Traction Control, and Performance Traction Management issues - it was determined to replace the entire rear differential as a complete unit (at least thats the belief at the moment)

GM Customer Service, and my Dealership have been fantastic handling it, communicating and procuring parts - hopefully the diagnosis proves correct, and eliminates the "issues" - because i love driving the car !

For the record: this is a street only car, no 1/4 mile runs, no track days, no street races, no burn-outs....just good ol' spirited driving, apexing the sweepers and throttling up - so "no abuse" to speak of

New Flex Plate - New Rear Differential (2 days to complete)

- i've driven it close to 100 miles and the Service Rear Axle message did not reappear (usually it appeared with only 5 to 20 miles) - StabilTrack, Traction Control, and PTM accessibility are all back to normal

Funny posts like these don't get much discussion. Would be interesting to know specifically what was wrong with the diff.

Glad I just got the plain limited slip differential. So far, my clutch is doing OK too.

Did the flex plate issue make any noises before you got the DIC warning? My car is exhibiting an intermittent rattling sound in the rear end just as I come to a stop. Scratching my head trying to figure out what it might be.
