I thought it generated a suction effect to help plant the car?
On a street car it isn't going to do anything appreciable. You need to consider the whole combination or airflow enhancements on the whole car. Look at an F1 car, each piece affects the other. Just adding a diffuser to your basic C7 coffee car isn't going to anything but look kind of cool.

Well that wasn't going to be everything I got. I was gona get weapon x front splitter and rockers and I have a z06 spoiler. I was just wondering about how much a diffuser would help. I wanted to go as much downforce as I could without adding a whole lot of drag, so without a wing.

I don't think you will get a huge effect from any of it.
Higgs is right. The reason being is the aero that the cookie cutter kits provide is not really drastic enough to net you the kind of performance you would be looking for. They are primarily just "ground effects" for looks.
