I would love some opinions from the people on this thread.

I Have a 2017 Grand Sport with an
A&A Supercharger Ti-V3
3.8 pulley
Single nozzle of meth
ARH w/hi flow cats
ARH xpipe

I see Cunningham has a drop in piston and rod combo. Do you all think that with a proper camshaft, LT4 injectors and pump and a dual nozzle of meth I can pass the 800 whp level? or is the head unit going to be the limiting factor? Also should I do e85 instead of meth? Thank you all for such great imput.

With the mods you suggested (pistons, rods, cam injectors, HPFP pump, dual meth) you can surpass 800. You'll also need a 3.47" pulley for the top and an 8.65" pulley for the crank. Will take you to the limit of that head unit and even over spin it a bit. Im making 828 with all that minus the rods..

Thank you for the response. Do you think pulling the Meth and doing all E85 is a better option? It has been brought up that Meth can be cylinder biased. Any thoughts?

I would keep the meth and still plan on E85. Remember that unless you upgrade the low side you will run out of fuel at around e40-E50. Cylinder biased? Maybe. But not as much as everyone makes it out to be. Its not cylinder 1 is getting 90% of it and starving the rest. If it was an issue, more meth cars would blow up..

Id like a build where you can continue to. Do laps around a track over and over again, like the GS can now without most of the overheating worries. Magnusson? 650 wheel horsepower, maybe headers and intake?

That definitely makes sense. I think the E85 since it is everywhere around here is going to help. I am going to bump up to the LT4 pump when I do the rest. that should hopefully be sufficient at the 800whp mark.

With a cam that has a 32% lobe and the LT4 HPFP, make sure you use the correct lashcap as many shops get this wrong and end up blowing the HPFP..

Guess you can add these to the list. Just got the word from my builder after everything was thoroughly inspected.. My heads and "former" TS&P VVT-1 camshaft were fubar'd. Ouch.

I took 6-7 pictures today of what's left of my former setup (REST IN PIECES). Just brutal! ..and wouldn't ya know it, I needed more parts. The limit of our LT1 was pushed really hard. Now that we are into a building phase, I picked up these parts today at TS&P, Chevrolet Dealership and Corvette Mods:

28-12623368 - 2014+ LT1 6.2 Camshaft Phaser gear

25-0DEGPL - 0 Degree Phaser Limiter

28-12589016 - GM Camshaft Retainer Plate (Require QTY:4 28-11561455 Bolts)

28-11561455 - GM Cam Retainer Plate Bolt (Countersunk)

28-12585546 - GM 58x Crankshaft Position Sensor

28-12660737 - LT1 Stingray Valley cover 2014+

28-12659937 - GM Gen 5 LT1/LT4 Oil Pump, Dry Sump

28-12630107 - LT1 Chain Dampner

46-234-4342 - ARP HEAD STUD KIT LT1 6.2 W/O CORNER BOLTS

LT1 RockerUpg: 347-2110 - Johnson Lifters Drop-In Hydraulic-Roller,
No Link Bar, .045" Taller Than LS7 Lifter, .035"
Recommended Pre-Load +-.010"

Qty: 02 - Chevrolet Corvette 2014+ Stage 1 front spitters

Qty: 01 - Chevrolet Corvette 2014+ Oil Pan

Qty: 02 - Chevrolet Corvette 2015+ LT4 Head Gaskets

Qty: 01 - P/N: 2700 MSD Atomic AirForce Intake Manifold LT1 Gen 5

I also shipped my ECS 2200 blower back to Paxton today. Hopefully everything is good to go with it. I still have to purchase a few more high ticket items but pretty much everything that needed to be replaced, has been replaced.

What’s the current status of your build?

Shortly after I messaged u on this post about checking yours out, I had a valve spring break at less than 1800 rpms on stock engine with 7190 miles on it.. Cold air intake, kooks longtubes, catted x-pipe, and tune are only mods.

I’ll be doing a tsp longblock build or at least rotating assembly if block is usable. So I’m even more interested in seeing yours now for sure.

Seriously, i'm thinking of replacing my stock springs since i want to go headers and intake.
I'm supposing since you have mods GM denies your warranty ? which years is your vette ? I have a 2017 GS and not very confident...

Considering replacing your springs to do intake and headers? why?

I had intake, long tube headers, ported TB and a tune for over 25K before adding boost for another 25K. that's 50K miles on the motor on the stock springs before I pulled it and built it. The springs are fine with intake and headers..
