I am hardly a young punk and hardly proven wrong.

my statement, "going out on the access road and flooring it isn't going to automatically get you a sub 4" hardly correlates to going to a prepped race track, which your video shows you needed to obtain a decent 0-60.

If you want to compare 0-60 times, let's start with my vette and if that's not good enough for you we can try out my race car.

0-60 is for waxers. excuse me for trying to participate in the under 3 inch swinging contest, i knew something was different.

C'mon now - us Texas guys need to stick together. I'll tell you what, you can both come to Dallas and show me up since I can't get my PDR to show better than 4.1 sec 0-60.

You're more ridiculous than I thought. You want to race my bone stock car against your forced induction car. Desperate.

Hey, I didn't want any part of this until the implication came out that I was lying about the PDR video. There was no reason for any of this. All I was trying to do is show the OP that a good 0-60 time can be had.

Where did I say I want to race? I said we can compare 0-60 times if you really want to.

I posted that to show you exactly how ridiculous it is to call before you know the hand. I never called you out, you just got your panties in a bunch and started swinging.

Let me show you:
"you're older" as if that matters
you need to "dumb things down for me"
"im a young punk"
etc, etc

I find it quite amusing how old codgers have a way of wiping it on their pant leg before anyone realizes they stepped in it. yeah....I'm the ridiculous one.

the bottom line is you got your feelings hurt and took something personal and that was your choice. I know you want it to be my fault, but things happen all around us every day and if you choose to let stuff stick, that's your thing.

Have a great day.

OP here, I appreciate it goat, it's nice to see the cars can in fact run the times GM posted without perfect conditions.

Higgs for the record you come off as the *** when you go out claiming it can't be done while goat has proven it can be, then proceed to call him a liar because you didn't achieve such a great run, and then proceed to keep trying to defend your position that it can't be done when we have all seen video proof that you're wrong. Go ahead and try to troll me too but I'll just do what goat should have done a long time ago and ignore you until you get bored and find another post to troll

boy you sure got smart after asking such a great question.

i guess 0-60 is a very emotional topic. all i did was state one shouldn't expect to drive out on the access road/highway/what have you and floor it and expect stellar 0-60 times. it's been a downward spiral ever since.

going to the track is completely different subject, one which I never brought up, my posts were about the street.

have fun, welcome to the board. "I always come off like an ***" because I am one, probably....not that you would know, you have been here a matter of weeks.

Anybody who needs remedial reading as bad as you do would never tune or touch my car. I never called you a 'punk' or 'young punk'. I called another poster a 'young punk'. I even put that persons quote above it where any simpleton could understand who I was answering to.

Your m.o. about posting is that you imply something for people to read between the lines, then when you're called out for it, you go into denial and say prove it.

You did come off as a jerk, and implied I was lying. You can type all the crap you want to type, and no matter how many posts you deny it in, it won't change the outcome. I found these comments to be highly patronizing (you may need to google that) and condescending. Yes, when on the defensive I can also post like a jerk, which I did, however I didn't fire the opening salvo.

For the most part, I'm done with this thread. Outside of trying to let the OP see that a 3.6 (PDR), outside of that post and a couple of others, this thread has gone to hell and has gotten into pissing contests. Plus by now, it's way off topic.

Lastly, higgs, I've read a lot of your posts over the past year or so, and when you want to you can add a lot to these forums, but you don't have to come off as a jerk to prove anything.

That's a heck of a post.

1st sentence: I need remedial reading so much that I could never touch or tune your car (like I am just dying to get my hands on it).

last sentence: I can add a lot to these forums when I want to. what, now I can tune your car?

Glad you got it all out.

Look, I am just a jerk. Life will be much simpler when you don't resist it.

stock manual i achieved (4000DA) 3.9 secs. You really need to power shift to get into the 3's. otherwise its impossible. None power shifts i was 4.1

I second this, got a 3.9 but flat foot shifted it into second and that was on the road, not a track... where the speed limit was above 60 of course...

just curious, are you all running 93 octane? The highest pump gas in Calif is 91; my best time is a 4.1.

Anyone try 95 octane?. Does it make a difference?

Finally, what is the best way to utilize launch control? I'm using the elapsed timer to capture my 0-60 times, and the littlest movement starts the timer, which won't give me accurate results.

for the perfect time.
