Anyone using an AFM Deactivation Device?

Four cylinder activation is especially annoying when the NPP exhaust is open in Sport mode and then it goes to quiet mode at reduced throttle. Does the Disable Device solve this?
With an automatic, even with AFM disabled, the NPP behavior based on ESM (Engine Sound Management) setting is even more of a curiosity..and more intrusive vs. M7 even in Track/Off.
Meyerweb has done exhaustive testing of the M7 ESM and has it well documented.
I have had the AFM disabled on my 2015 A8, and even in Track, the NPP closes WAY more frequently than the M7 did. I never could figure out the pattern 100% like we had on the M7. I found it intrusive on the A8 to the point that the fuse pull was the only option for me. Now it's great.
So the bottom line is that the automatic folks with AFM disabled will be shocked at just how much the NPP close in ESM Track/Off. So then pull the fuse to see the difference. Night and day IMO. M7 is less of a shock since AFM is only in Eco. And there's no way to differentiate NPP from AFM events until AFM is disabled since both sets close in V4 mode.
Only caveat for use is that it draws a -small- amount of power when the car is off. So it's recommended to unplug it if leaving the car more than a few days (I'd say a week). Or use a battery maintainer.

If anyone is interested in disabling the DOD / AFM the right way we do offer a complete solution for the LT1 engine.
GM LT1 DOD Delete Kit
http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/...elete-Kit.html
This kit includes everything you need to convert over your LT1 DOD/AFM engine to a non-DOD/AFM engine. The core of this conversion is based around the custom billet CNC delete plate which fits under the factory valley cover. This CNC machined piece is an exact fit for the factory valley cover and allows for easy conversion of the factory system, while still retaining the OEM PCV baffling. The tray has built in o-rings which seal off the oil passages and allow for a fully functional non-DOD/AFM system, giving you full performance and choice of an array of performance camshafts. The rest of the components include everything needed to complete the conversion.
Includes the following Components
CNC Billet DOD Delete Tray
Livernois Custom Camshaft
Double Spring Kit w TI Retainers
Head and Exhaust Gaskets
Non-DOD/AFM Lifters & Buckets
Livernois Camshaft Phaser Limiter
Head Bolts, Crank Bolt, Cam Bolt
1 Piece 5/16 Pushrods
Available for these Applications
2014+ Corvette C7 (6.2L)
2014+ Pickup Truck (6.2L)
2014+ Pickup Truck (5.3L)

Thanks for the response. Your input is appreciated, it's exactly what I suspected was the situation.
We do offer an excellent custom tuning solution using the Mycal tuning device. We can set up custom dyno tune files for customers remotely using our device and also offer to disable the AFM / DOD this way as well.

It was great not letting it go to 4 cylinder mode, but I had some issues with the car stalling when coasting to a stop.
The car probably needed to learn the new settings, but I was not willing to take a chance and returned it, I almost got T-boned while making a left.
Now the car does kick in to 4 cylinder mode, but with the Flowmasters it stays loud, it just sounds like a GTR or Import at times, coarser than the V8 tone which is smooth. I actually don't mind it.
