I did back to back tests a while ago, like I said the difference was subtle but there. Also if you follow the C7Z forum, those guys are making large gains from replacing the filter.
With our supercharger kit the difference was also very noticeable on the dyno.
On a base C7 it's a small gain for a small price, whether that's worth or not is up to you.
Hey Doug is the k&n filter compatible wit your supercharger or only the green filter
All oiled cotton gauze filters are very similar in terms of flow and filtering ability. AFE is my personal favorite, but I've also used K&N's in a lot of applications, and is what I put in my father's C6 for him due to cost vs. others. I have no personal experience with Airaid or Green, but from what I know they're similar to both AFE and K&N (only so many ways to reinvent the wheel).

You think it's fine to use the k&n filter with the ecs supercharger 700+ hp

That would be a better question for ECS, but my personal opinion is that if they supply a Green filter with their kits then the K&N should work similarly.

You can use either if you plan to not use a restrictor plate with our kit. (700 rwhp) If you do plan to use the restrictor plate then the filter we use is specifically made to hold it in place.

So the k&n fine to use it with or without restirctor plate or only the green
Btw how much hp does the green filter make on stock c7 K&n claims there's is 8hp and 7tq
I think the only difference you well see is 30-40 dollars.
Exactly! And the guy starts with a great post question about the Green filter then as usual it diverts to anther type in this case the K & N. Owners hardly ever seem to be concerned about small particulate matter passing through the filter and then into the engine, only about flow and HP gains. Any filter that allows more flow also allows more unwanted matter into the intake. I will stay with frequent and clean C7 OEM filter changes rather than the Green in question here or any other type.
