I have a 2015 coupe with a performance exaust and 8 speed auto. With the exhaust set on sport setting and if I accelerate at full throttle the third or fourth shift is extremely loud and jerks you in the car. Only at full throttle. Is this the sport setting causing this and is it normal. Everything else is good at not full throttle.
The sound is not normal it is like a bang but it keeps accelerating.
SO I GUESS I WILLNOT WORRY. IT IS PRETTY LOUD BUT IS LIKE A BANK OR A WHOP LIKE DISCRIBED BELOW. DELAER WANTED ME TO BRING IT IN TO HEAR IT BUT I DON'T THINK II WILL EVERYHTING WORKS GREAT 2,500 MILES THIS IS MY 5TH CORVETTE AND THE BEST ONE.

It's probably due to where the exhaust is set to open in Sport mode making the sound difference. Once you get the RPM's up the exhaust opens and you get the sound. Experiment with the other modes and see how it responds. Track will stay open and be louder more often and opens under lower RPM.

I pulled fuse 42 I like the sound of the system open all the time.
The majority of the time I agree. I had the fuse pulled and then wired a switch (Theta's thread) to be able to have the best of both worlds...stock function or flip the switch and it behaves like the fuse is pulled.
With headers and cam it can get loud and long road trips or leaving or coming home in my neighborhood late I'll shut it down. Definitely sounds better open though!
These automatics will "sputter" at any WOT shift---by design---GM has made the new A6 and A8 shift quicker than ever before---In the past they used TQ management to control TQ at a WOT shift---This was not good as at every shift the eng would lose up to 30% of it's TQ and you were continually having to regain that lost TQ---
Now WOT shifts are controlled my millisecond fuel cut-offs--and not TC---So the sound is different--Like I say it's more of a sputter--With headers or exhaust open it can sound weird---But is far better for the life of the trans--quicker WOT shifts and almost no loss of TQ that has to be regained as before
PS: a WOT 3-4 shift ?? how fast were you going ? LOL
