Default eForce Supercharger-first drive

Well, after some issues getting a tune for the car (its a new 2016 and edelbrock wanted the computer to check stuff and send back to me) i was able to take it for a few miles tonight.

Well,, its pretty BADAZZ!!!!! incredible power and with the exhaust in "stealth" it just flat out sh&ts and Gets,,, ,real quiet like. Still have some dial in tuning to do but lets just say its got plenty for the streets. Hope to get to the track with some slicks and see whats what. paul

Very cool, I hope to get an E force before to long. Sounds like a lot of fun!

*my understanding is the canned tune for pre 2016. Sounds like it may have just need a little updating for 2016.

I saw one of the first E-force installed on a guys C7 in KC, very clean and stock looking. Time to start looking for some rear tires

Nice! I am seriously leaning towards the eforce. When you get more seat time and the tune worked out I want to see what your impressions are then.

As he stated above and in his other thread on the install of the SC...He has a 2016 model and the tuning is slightly different than previous models. Well, at least he is the first one with a '16 to install the E-Force SC so they wanted to make sure the tuning was right.

YOU GOT IT, the unit does come with a canned tune but they are year specific and they didn't have a tune for a 2016 yet. They should have one for 2016 vets now tho. paul

Thanks VERY much, Paul for your early days feedback.
I, too, have been considering an E'brock for my 2015 Z51 A8.

I would also greatly appreciate a report after you have gotten your tune optimized and have put afew more miles on the car.

While I really appreciate the professional-appearing delivery of the E'brock unit, I have been somewhat concerned, perhaps ignorantly, that this unit may not provide enough grunt without more invasive, such as cam, modifications to really make it snap.

However, your report dispels my fears in that area.
Now, I eagerly await seeing your dyno numbers as well as number for any truly stock C7 V-8s.

It's the age-old question. Just how much power is enough?

BTW, what did E'brock claim you would see for a power increase?

Thanjs a million, Hanny.

Just curious Hanny, did you install the stage 1 or 2 E force? Did you get any dyno numbers after the install? Why did you go with the stage 1 or 2??

I guess I did the stage 3 actually, started with the stage 2 and I dropped to a 3" pulley tonight. The boost gauge I have I cant say its super accurate but I went from 7 to 9 pounds I believe. not sure if that's 100% accurate but pretty close.. I definitely picked up 2 pounds of boost tho.
