Default Gauge problem-help please

Just finished my SC install and everything works awesome except....
My analog temp gauge works perfect, but the digital gauge never moves it stays dead stick on 100. My digital redline never moves up showing the car is warmed up even after driving for an hr. I also get a Service vehicle soon light every time I start the car. It shows no codes so I'm guesting it has something to do with the temp gauge not reading.
Any thoughts???

Who tuned it? Sounds like it is something in the tune. What SC kit did you install?

I installed it, ECS kit, meth and TSP headers. The tune was done by a friend with help and input from Doug @ ECS.

I origanly thought I had a bad coolant temp sensor but the analog gauge works fine and was told there is only one sensor. I'm stumped because if there is only one sensor how am I getting a good reading on one display and no reading on the other?

Maybe the coolant sensor is left unplugged by accident or it was loose

Edit Just read your reply, so I don't know

The analog is basically a dummy gauge. Try unhooking the battery and then reconnect after 5 min or so and see if it resets.

Did you also install a new thermostat as well by any chance?

The coolant sensor is plugged in and is relaying the correct temp to the analog temp gauge. If it was unplugged or not working that gauge would be dead also I am guessing.. Thanks for the suggestion..

I'll try unhooking the battery. Yes I did install a new 160* stat. What do you mean dummy gauge?

I just mean that the analog gauge doesn't really display the temp. It's there for looks so to speak. It shouldn't read 0 though. To get a good temp reading view the digital gauge in Tour mode.

Make sure whoever did the tune updated it to accommodate for the 160* thermostat. It's a simple update but easily overlooked especially if the tuner wasn't aware of the new tsat.

This is absolutely in the tune. Similar thing happened to me with oil temp.

Call Doug and chat with him he'll know.

OK, So I feel like a complete bone head.! The gauge I was looking at is the Trans temp gauge. That gauge hardly moves even after driving for 30-40 minutes. So the redline warm up bar above the tach takes forever to move up because the transmission is taking so long to warm up. So, I thought the "service vehicle soon" was because of a faulty gauge. So I guess the only issue I have to figure out is why my "service vehicle soon" comes on at every start-up. (I hooked up a code reader and it says no codes but the light comes on every start-up)

Does everyone’s car take so long to warm up the tranny when its 55*-60* outside?

Thank you

I never look at trans temp. Just care about coolant and oil temps. It takes 15 minutes to come up to temp on both.

Does the service engine soon message go away then just back and start up? No codes though?? Do you have a check engine light?

The "service vehicle soon" light comes on at start-up and goes away when I press ignore and stays off for good till i turn the car off then back on and there it is again. No check engine light.

service vehicle soon isn't the same as check engine light. it means service engine soon like your oil life is close to being up. Reset your oil % and see what happens

I agree with others about the service vehicle light.

I have a 160 thermostat in my car and the warm up bar above the tach rarely goes away. It's ok though. I monitor the temps and when cool they are at least 170 or above once the car gets to operating temp.

100% and still on.

It has to be something in the tune like a rear O2 sensor needs to be shut off or something like that since I have X pipe with no cats.
