What do you carry spare methanol in. Only thing I have found is maybe this.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RotopaX-1-Ga...FV8HPj&vxp=mtr

Any recommendations .

I store my Methanol in a 5 gallon gas container. I keep it in my garage and keep it away from light. I also keep a 1 gallon jug in the hatch. I store it inside garbage bag and in a Rubermaid tote. I see Amazon has some 1 qt containers that will fit in the cubby hole in the back. I may look into this more in 2016.

If you are going to drive the car a lot just get a 55 gallon can of it will cost you less over all. If not just buy it in 5 gal & keep it in a 5 gal gas plastic. Try to keep it in a dark cool place. It will stay good for a long time with no problems. I used the 55 gal and also put the additive in it also. Robert

I think my wife got me three of these to keep in the car. The 30oz ones. I have to pretend not to know for a few more days though.

I use the MSR bottles. Worked great for a cross country trip.

Other than that I just have 2 5 gallon pales in the garage.

I might be putting meth on another car and if so I'll do the 55 gallon with pump.

Just depends. If you can find a source that sells 55 gallon drums you can get it real cheap. Assuming you want that much and have a place to put a 55 gallon drum.

Otherwise if you purchase 5 gallon at a time you should pay around $60 a pop. Not sure where to purchase in Austin.

If I can find it cheaper I'll be all over it but it's not like I go through it like gas so not worrying too much about it really.

Remember ...we are in Central Texas...not a oil burner heater anywhere.

http://www.thewarmingstore.com/primu...e-15l-red.html

Ebay for $20.56 delivered
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Primus-Fuel-...IAAOSwp5JWZVMh

1.5 liter

The dimensions have a typo. It is 88mm x 310mm (3.5 inch x 12 inch)
and fits in the cubby. A solid rear end may cause a rupture so it's best to roll it in a towel to reduce the chance that the fuel will mist on impact. Cheap insurance. I'd hate to be coated in a mist of meth.
I roll in a towel and then twist tie a trash bag over it. Keep in mind, these are emergency rations. Best to keep the tank topped off when at home. If doing a long road trip, a windshield wiper gallon jug makes a great source that fits in the cubby but the lid falls shy of closing. I've wrapped in a towel and twist tie a trash bag.
Still unnerving to have fuel in the cab!!

BTW, Tulsa has a speed shop "Grand Prix" that sells meth for $3/gal (5 gal is under $17 including tax).

If your driving with the meth in the car and get in an accident better to get away from the car as quick as possible.

Meth burns clear, or nearly clear. Engine heat disturbing the air looks like just meth burning.

I care mine unmixed in a Tuperware 1/2 gallon bottle that fits in the cubby behind the seat ( convertible). This effectively gives me 1 gallon when travelling when mixed 50/50 with distilled water. I buy from local speed shops and/or shops specializing in dirt track racing. They will pump it into 5 gallon cans. I use 5 drops per gallon food coloring to identify it as mixed.

Snow Performance Products, a leading manufacturer of Methanol injection systems, recommends a 50/50 mixture. I have been running 8.5 boost on my C6 with this mixture for over 107,000 miles. No problems. If I recall correctly, I remember reading (in a supercharger/ turbocharger guide) that the volumetric expansion of steam is 7 times that of gasoline. Therefore, it is my belief that a 50/50 mixture performs better than straight Methanol. I could be wrong, but this what I recall.
