My three week old, 2016 vette gives me great concerns. If any of the usb ports ever support my ipod nano, to say it is sporadic would be an understatement. A crackling noise when one does work, skipping songs, playing the same song over and over, freezing etc. etc. The dealer says there is NO FIX at this time. Really? I don't use bluetooth, onstar, navigation, I just want to play MY music. Without getting my tech smart nephew involved...any way to get around this? HELP!
I've used a 4th gen Nano without any issues like you describe, so I wouldn't call what you're experiencing normal. Is there another dealer you can take it to and get a second opinion?
If that doesn't work, or there's no other reasonably convenient dealer, you might want to reach out to Chevy Customer Care, here on the forum, by PM.
Another option, although it might require your nephew, is to forget the ipod completely and put all your music on a USB thumbdrive.

Sad to say here but I agree 100% But like meyerweb has said call around to a dealer that sells a lot of vettes. If you take it to a dealer that only sells one because he has to from chev. That dealer serviceman really don't know crap per say about the vette.
I have to take my car about 75 miles to a dealer in Nashville to get it worked on due to this problem.
Took the advice and put all my music on a flash drive which plays perfectly with the usb port behind the radio. This usb port never worked with my ipod. Thanks to all out there!
