Default Clutch Remote Bleeder

I was about to start to tear things down for the Helixx, and Xtreme Corsa exhaust system, but I noticed the clutch bleeder is up there away, and inapproachable.

I looked and the only way to properly bleed the clutch fluid is by removing the main left catalyst. If I have to remove everything behind the main cats for the exhaust installation I rather do this "mod" as well.

I did a search, and located threads about members asking similar questions. I have a new C5Z06 remote bleeder I never got to install, and I wonder if anyone knows if it would fit on the C7's hydraulic slave cylinder OR if anyone out there sells a remote bleeder for the C7Z07.

This is the best picture I could take.

I spent the money to have a clutch bleeder installed on a C5.....after having it for a while, I found it to be not worth the expense. I found by keeping the clutch master changed every time it turned black worked just as well and was a lot easier. Just suck out the old, refill, pump the clutch peddle 30 times and repeat until clear. Takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

If you buy a quart of fluid keep the top closed tight, changing the fluid when you check the oil becomes 2nd nature.

Buy a bulb syringe keep it in your garage, it takes 2 minutes to suck out and refill your master.

I know all about the "Ranger Method". Like I said I have a new remote bleeder for my C5Z06, I'm going to install the Corsa, and I wanted to know if anyone knew about a bleeder for the C7.

I'm not really sure what changing the fluid in the reservoir does. You are not changing the fluid at the slave, where fresh fluid s needed. Same as doing this procedure at the brake master cylinder, the fluid at the calipers isn't being changed. I'll have to get a C7 slave and see what size the fitting is. I don't think Katech has one available, which is all we use in our builds.

It does circulate. When you suck the fluid from the reservoir and replace it with clean, then pump the clutch 30 times the fluid becomes very much darker.

Please explain how the fluid in the slave is being changed? Only fluid being changed is in the reservoir, maybe the hose, less in the master cylinder, and not likely any in the pipe and slave.

I'm not going to get into that crap again. I'm with you, the new fluid gets darker due to contamination at the clutch pump. The old oil from down the slave stays down there.

I contamination is getting all the way to the clutch master cylinder reservoir, fresh fluid is getting to the slave cylinder.
