Default Amazon Echo Dot

Has anyone installed an Amazon Echo Dot in their car?

Don't you mean the Tap, rather than the Dot? The Tap is battery operated, the Dot requires 110V AC.
I too would like to know how well the Echo product works while in the vehicle, hooked to the wifi hotspot, of course.

No, I did mean the Echo Dot.

It can receive its power from the USB in the console and can either use Bluetooth or audio input in the console to reach the Infotainment center.

Problem: If you do not have built in 3G you would have to use your iPhone (for example) as a wireless hub.

Tried it last night; worked very well if you like the Echo product line and eco-system.

Thanks, Eshrink. I did not know the Dot would run off of USB. For the price it sounds like a decent product and the review I read on it in general use was very good.
