not sure which one to get

My brother got a hellcat 8 speed performs great

Which is faster at higher speeds on the z06 a8 or m7
that's what I'm lookin for in the 1/2

What will win from. Roll race a8 vs m7 Z06

From like 50 to 150 from a example

M7 has less drive train loss, so more HP at the wheel. I have had auto and manual. IMO, the paddle shift is about 1/2 second slow. Then when I added HP, it just wouldn't do it. Loved the M6 in Z06, and as well the M7 in Z51. If you want to enjoy the experience, manual all the way!

All the tech specs I've read show the A8 to be quicker.
I've driven both. A8 is quicker in my experience.

Unless you have the need to row your own , the A8 is the better. ...jmho
I also have a C6 Z06 6spd..... A8 is better(quicker).
The Z 6spd does get phenomenal mpg, however ! 21-23 around town 30-33 highway(air off, windows up, 65-70 mph)

Even at higher speeds the A8 is faster or does the M7 gain more to 150

I've read a8 is faster from a stop because of hearing but M7 is faster from a rolling start. Either way A8s have a problem overheating

So it will pull and A8 from a roll with a good driver cuz I see the a8's dye out on 5th gear

I wonder with intake and tune if the 5th gear will pull a stock M7 that's the thing I'm really concernd I no in
Making it seem serious I just want the fastest one and if A8 with a Intake and tune will pull a M7 from a roll all the way up to 150 or so then the a8 is better in
My opinion can anyone confirm this or drove both or raced them

Pretty easy.

For roll racing and drag racing go with the A8.

For twisties go with the M7.

Just can't understand why anyone would want an automatic in a car like this. That said, folks don't really have much of a choice, since GM seems to be producing 95% of them with the auto.

Default Just the facts, Man.

IIRC, GM has the Z06 A8 quicker out of the hole (0-60 MPH) GM has the A8 quicker in the 1/4 mile; but the real kicker is that GM also has the A8 putting down a higher MPH in the 1/4 over the M7 too. You Make The Call!

The videos I have seen on the net usually have the A8's doing the most "A$$ Kicking" from a roll. But if you like/want a M7 then get a M7! Hell, you will save $3,025 MSRP by buying the no cost M7 over the $3,025 A8 option.

PS: The A in A8 really stands for "A$$ KICKING".

EDIT: Oh, and if you plan on going 150 MPH+ roll racing than go with the no cost option of the stage 1 package like I did for less drag at those higher speeds.

I had a 2010 Porsche GT3 with 6 spd that I sold. After driving both Vettes (one M7 the other the A8) I want with the A8. Although with the P car the M was fun on the streets, the Vette was much , much more fun on the track Besides, when I'm cursing with wifey, I put that sucker in D around town and its like driving a Cadillac CTS. I love the choice I made. And for those on the other threads complaining about the overheating issues and what GM promised or did not, I would advise you to try dealing with Porsche and/or Ferrari when you try to make
them pay up for their claims. Good luck with that. I'm happy with my 2016 A8 Z51 Done

From what I have read/seen on the net the A8 pays no penalty in the MPH department, but what will slow acceleration due to drag from 150 mph up is the stage 2/3 package compared to the no cost stage 1.

If you check the stock Z06 1/4 mile records on here I think the A8's outperform the M7's in the et & "mph" departments.

That is a tricky one. I love the A8 and the Hellcats are goofy fast for the weight. It is a drivers race and from a roll it could go either way. I roll raced a Hellcat at a Half Mile event and barely won by a hair. We were both stock including filter. Any error on my part and he would have beaten me. Hellcats are power monsters and it boils down to a drivers race. I would not try to race one if I had stage 2 or 3 aero as that slows down the car a bit.

Yah man my brothers hellcat feels crazy fast for the weight and I will get a 1LZ or 2lz stage 1 aero just in tryin to see which one is faster in the 1/2 the M7 or A8 I no the A8 is faster from . A stand still but if the the A8 is faster from. A roll all the way up to 150+ or so then no reason not to get it

Do you no the 1/2 traps on the M7 vs the A8 also what stage aero is yours
