A8 shifting noise?

A8 shifting noise?
First time going wide open and there is like a pop or bang noise when it was shifting. Never heard it before when driving "normal". No noise once i went back to "normal" driving. Is this just what it does?

This guy has it right. This is exactly what it reminded me of in drag racing. I absolutely love the pumping sound and then the exhaust sputter.
I did not know it cut fuel for faster shifting. That would explain the slight delay of exhaust note during certain shifts.
If you guys havent already put in a tune and modified the shifting, I recommend it. I have my car set in a hard shift mode and it feels like it almost twist or bumps the car with a hard shift at WOT. At normal driving it is not over the top, but slightly notable.
