Default Rear Diff Fluid Change

The instructions state that for vehicles with the differential cooling system, you raise the vehicle and run at 10 mph for one minute and then check fluid level after the initial fill.
Did anyone do this???

Out of curiosity, how much more fluid did you add after the initial fill?

I think the factor didn't do this step and that is the reason a lot of guys said it was low in there car.

I checked mine it was also low and I chged it all out from the DIY in here. Robert

I also posted this in the C7 Z06 Section, hopefully someone can help...

I just drained the rear differential fluid , the fluid I drained out was definitely Dexron LS gear oil.

The manual states for Z06 (eLSD) use Dexron 4. That is definitely not the factory fill fluid that I drained out!! Is there a misprint in the manual?

HELP!!!

OK, the differential fill is Dexron LS as you noted. The hydraulic system for the eLSD is Dex VI but there is no reason to change this unless you did major service work after damage to the system.

Theta put up a nice set of "how to's" in the Tech system including this one for the rear end: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ice-specs.html

Wow, thank you very much!!
The owner's manual is definitely not clear on that at all. Hopefully no one has made the mistake of incorrectly filling the rear diff with Dexron 4.
