I have a 2016 coupe with the M7 transmission. I have about 650 miles, and have noticed a slight "rattle" when idling. It reminds me of a throw out bearing noise. It makes the noise whether the clutch is in or car is in neutral with clutch out. Is this normal?

Normally that noise is acceptable coming from a manual transmission. Just keep an ear out for any changes in noise/volume.
The new LT1's definitely have a rough idle. But my M7 doesn't rattle. I do have a MGW and love the shifter, so might be a good one to put on your mod list,
You sure that it is not the normal sound of direct injection?
Its more of a rattle than a ticking noise. I also have an IS350 with DI and know the ticking that has. It's more like a throw out bearing from my earlier years in cars.
