Default LT4 HPFP, Fuel Line, and Fuel rails

So, we know the LT1 and LT4 high pressure fuel pumps are different. We know the LT1 and LT4 fuel injectors are different.

My question is are the fuel rails physically different?? If they are shouldn't these be replaced also if an LT1 guy goes to the LT4 pump? Or only if they go to the LT4 injectors also?

I wonder if there are differences between the 2014 LT1 rails and the 2015 LT1 rails?

I believe the 15+ rails are the same. The 14 had no Z06 counterpart and had some different parts on it. Fuel Pressure Control Module is different also (same for 15 base and Z but different on 14). There are several little secret changes from 14 to 15.

Yea im starting to learn that a little. I am thinking the right thing to do would be the lt4 pump and supply line and injectors and rails. Didn't know the control module was different..... tell me more about that? The module is physically different or the software is? Or both?

I don't know what is different about the FPCM in that regard. The tune shows it though, it drives the HPFP differently in such that the 2014 won't run at all with 2015 data.

^Does that mean some extra work is required to make a '14 work with ZHPFP parts?

My gut tells me YES....but nobody seems to know for sure. I think if you do a LT4 pump on the 2014 you need to do the supply line with it and the LT4 rails. Hell and you might as well do the injectors to.

you can install the Z06 parts on the 14 without extra work and you don't need the rails to do it.

you just want to be careful which data in the tune you transfer over.

Yea I am with you Higgs. That supply line has to be installed though correct? From the LT4 pump to the rail? Aren't those a package deal?

That line has to be replaced, and Theta did replace his also, because it's a one time use line and I doubt you'd want it to leak.

Tim we replace the line on all the cars we do. It is necessary to have the proper connection because of the high fuel pressure. At 2000psi+ there is no room to chance it.

I've attempted to reach out to him (Theta) a few times. I even facebook stalked him and spoke to his wife before I finally got a reply from him that was a bit mysterious to say the least. I know he was not doing very well however he did have quite a positive outlook on his reality. This was approx 1.5 years ago and no reply since. I have not reached back out to his wife either. I feel like he was distancing himself from outsiders for his own peace and healing and didn't want to burden his friends around him. We had a private facebook group with a few CF C7 guys and all communicated regularly. Everyone in the group has lost contact with him. If he is still with us I wish him the best and if not may he RIP.

That is sad to hear. He has been such a valuable member of the community. Wish him all the best.
