Default P0442 Code

After I had my long tubes installed on my '15 z51 car, I've been getting some intermittent p0442 code on start up. From what I read, the code indicates a small leak in the evaporative emissions, or EVAP system.

Is this something anyone has come across? Any recommendations for tshooting and resolving this?

Thanks!

The P0442 code is typically triggered by a gas cap that is not on correctly---But the C7 does not have a gas cap----I know on my 2014 there was a recall on this same exact issue---- a filler neck problem causing a EVAP code
However if you seem to have gotten the code after your LT install---I would suspect that a vacuum line upon re-installation was not plugged in correctly----To do a LT header install on a C7 requires the removal of many components----I would 1st re-check all your PCV connections on your air intake as well as all the vacuum connections on your valve covers---

So I think I finally found the cause of my code, and wanted to update this thread in case anyone else runs into my same problem.

The car has started to idle a bit rough, and surging, almost like there was unmetered air getting into they system. I spent the morning checking every single vacuum hose connection (again). This time I found one that had a broken connector. I think this was broken during my long tube install.

After trying to reseat it so it wasn't loose, the poor idle went away. But it is not very secure. So I'm hoping that someone here can help me identify this connector so that I can get a new one and permanently fix my issue.

The connection is made on the passenger side valve cover. Anyone have a part number, or a site that I go to and find the part number? Or am I going to have to replace the whole setup (kind of worried about how to remove the connector without damaging the hose).

ps. Engine bay is quite dirty! First time I've had the covers removed, and haven't detailed under the hood yet.

I'd bet you will need to buy the entire hose piece with the 3 connections and the y pipe.

That line will not cause a code but there is a line that's just behind it that will cause a code which runs from the right front of engine to right rear that plugs in by the fire wall

Yea, this is something else I was thinking. Still need help identifying a part number. Thinking I might have to go to the dealer and have them look one up for me.

Any chance you can snap a pic of this line so I can check it out? I'm not sure I know exactly which one you are referring too.
