Can anyone out there help me out of this? I just bought a 2017 Grand Sport. When I try to use the PDR, the screen still says no SD card inserted after I put the card in the glove box slot. I have formatted the card to FAT32 and it is a group 10 Sandisk card. I have tried 8,16,and 32 G cards. I hate to bring it back to the dealer and let them mess with it. Anyone else have this issue and did you find a fix?
Usually the 32 GB and smaller disks come pre formatted. When I first tried an SD card I purchased a 64 GB disk that I had to reformat. The PC software I downloaded to do the reformatting seemed to work just fine but when I plugged the disk into the PDR slot I got the no disk warning. It turned out that my downloaded software screwed the disk and even the PC couldn't read it any more. First, thing to do is recheck your disk in your PC to make sure it is good.
The only SD card slot in 2016s and later is the PDR in the glove box. The SD slot in the console was eliminated after 2015. I wouldn't be surprised if the elimination wasn't due to people getting confused on which slot to use for what.

One thing I discovered with the PDR SD Card Reader in my car is it sometimes loses contact with the card. I was at CMP and after several sessions were recorded I got in the car for another and the PDR displayed the no memory card installed warning. After much fiddling around with the card the PDR finally recognized it again. Not sure what happened. The card was fully inserted into the reader and had worked flawlessly for a couple of hours and then suddenly the PDR could not recognize it.
I used an old 2.0 SD card and it didn't work. I seen someone else with a 3.0 card and I try it. Worked. Used a San disk 3.0 card. Pretty cheap on Amazon.
I purchased a 16GB card for the initial testing. Worked as designed. Did notice that the card needs to be inserted and locked into the slot or electrical contact might be compromised.
