Will the 2017 build allow us to disable the AFM and keep it in V8 mode (in addition to the other stuff)? And if so, is that a stand alone setting or would you have to enable some other tune and it comes with it?
Final question, good source for finding out when it will actually be released? Sounds like you're close, but would like to know when it is released.

I believe with all Diablosport tuners, you can disable AFM as a stand alone option if you go into Modify Stock Tune, or after you've loaded one of their tunes (93 for example) you can then go into Modify Tune after it loaded and adjust the stand alone options as AFM or Throttle % etc..
I may be changing my order from a 2017 Grand Sport to a Z06. Mike, will the new 2017 tunes work with the Z06 as well or are they just geared for Stingrays and Grand Sports?
Its really as simple as that, no tuning for shift points, firmness, or trans TM. So far it seems nobody has found a simple plug and play solution that doesn't require removing the tcm, so its a tough spot that we'll have to get used to
"There's been a lot of talk out there lately about the new T87A transmission control module (TCM) used in the 8 speed automatic transmission-equipped vehicles for 2017. Rigorous security protocols are requiring TCMs to be shipped somewhere and “unlocked” before they can be tuned. Defying the limitations others are subject to, we're also pleased to announce that we are able to offer transmission flashing without having to remove the module from the vehicle and “unlock” it!"
Hope this isn't a stupid question, but I have a 2017 Z06 and a Trinity. I want to keep the car on the stock tune, but I do want to de-activate 4 cylinder mode. I know I can make this change to the stock tune, but am wondering if this will flag as the car being flashed with a tune (if brought into a dealership).
To be more specific on the scenario. I use the Trinity to turn off 4 cylinder mode. I want to take car to dealership for one reason or another, so I change the 4 cylinder option back "on". Would dealership be able to detect/have reason to say my car has been tuned at one point or another?

Dealership, probably not. GM, if the ECM is sent to them, yes, absolutely. And for any major engine warranty request, GM requires the ECM to be sent to them for review.
If all you want to do is disable AFM, a Range AFM disabler is probably a "safer" solution, as it leaves no trace when it is removed.

Thanks for the clarification. I have a Range AFM on order...... Why we cant just have manufacturers only do this cylinder deactivation stuff in ECO mode only is beyond me..

I think the answer is the gas guzzler tax. By running it all the time, the A8 (which accounts for 70 - 80% of C7 sales), probably does quite a bit better on the EPA mileage cycle.
I started using the Range AFM a couple weeks ago. It works good and the trans seems to shift better all around. It does glitch and throw codes if I leave it in for a couple days not driving, but I can reset those with Torque.
If someone is just looking to disable AFM then Range is probably the way to go. Diablo does more than is needed and will leave a tuning signature on the car (Range will not) which could black list your warranty.

Can you give us some real examples?
