Just for $hits and giggles, I decided to pull of my supercharger cover a week ago. (Photos 1&2). Being kind of shocked to see that much oil, I decided to remove the supercharger and check the valves. (Photo 3). So, I cleaned the valves of all the junk. (Photo 4). After researching everything possible related to catch cans, I decided on MMSoultions can. Before ordering, however, I call Dave and spoke with him extensively about my concerns. He was very helpful from a technical point of view. So, I ordered his can. Fast forward a week. Today I installed the can. Installation was a piece of cake. You DO NOT have to remove the supercharger. Remove the lid and four bolts holding the supercharger down. The back to bolts are a PITA. Just loosen these bolts, but do not remove them completely. Remove the supercharger belt (kind of a PITA, use a long extension.)
I must say I am VERY impressed with the quality and engineering behind this product. Everything fit perfectly without any problems. Although MMS's can looks like it just vents out the top, it very seldom does. Rather, the system is a closed loop system that only vents out the top during high pressure situations. Call Dave it's his product and he knows more about it than I do.
The purpose of this thread is educational. It it NOT intended to be a discussion about the necessity of catch cans or who's can is better. If this thread gets ugly, I'll ask the moderators to close it.
My car is a '16 Z06, bone stock, 3,700 miles, no HPDE.

Put your mind to rest I am sure it will do what he has told you on the catch can. He has all his stuff in one bag here. Other words one of few vendors in here that REALLY knows what he is doing with a catch can. Robert
I think I'll have to order one! I can't imagine how much oil is in the supercharger on higher mileage cars
If you keep that right foot on the floor you will have some for sure. With these motor now with inj like it is just hate the coking on the back side of the valves. Robert

Not much. Plenty of us have pulled the cover after multiple track events and have negligible amounts oil in the supercharger. If you like the taste of Kool Aid, by all means drink it. But you certainly don't need to.

Negligible or not is a choice every enthusiast can determine for themselves, believe it or not these engines do not operate identically or under same circumstances as you mention; And that is before we get into if it has been cracked open for internal mods, power adders or long term coking defense.
I also installed a catch can from MMS about a month ago. My car is a 2016 Z06 that has about 3900 miles. I bought it with 3200 miles on it from a dealer whose owner was driving it so not sure how hard it was driven. When I pulled the supercharger lid it looked exactly like the pics in this thread with oil inside supercharger. I am convinced the catch can is necessary. My opinion only................
Question, if you run the drain extension, the drain valve is moved to the end of the extension tube. I assume this means the extension tube holds captured oil?
