Hey guys, just got a 2015 stingray last saturday and verified multiple times the 0 to 60 and could never go better then 4.4 , my car is auto. What im doing wrong?
It took me getting a supercharger, drag radials, and an excellent launch to get into the 3 second range on my M7 Stingray. Best I ever achieved stock was 4.4, most were 4.6-4.8 on the street.
My Z is "supposed" to run a 2.95 on a good day, but the best I've ever managed, on a good road with drag radials, is 3.2. Some wheelspin is pretty much unavoidable. I don't know what the Stingrays are advertised as running, but I wouldn't be too worried. Sounds like that's about right for a Stringray on the street.

Should of got a M7, then you could blame the slow times on your shifting ability.

Thats exactly what was happening to me. between 4.6 and 4.8 and only managed to get 4.4 one time.

Factory and tests claim 3.8 for the stingrays. How were you doing before drag radials?
You aren't doing anything wrong----You have to realize that 0-60 posted factory times are all made on a sticky drag track and are not real world- Your times are right in line---
Using the launch - control system will produce your times most every pass- to be very consistent----To get a lower 0-60 time you must turn off the traction control--However to get a fast 0-60 time takes many practice runs to hit it just right-----Not to much spinning and not to much bogging at the start----and every track or road condition will be different--
You can't judge your car's launch based on several different track conditions----Just be consistent and do the same thing every pass and you will win races--after all at this level it is bracket racing and 0-60 times are meaningless consistency wins races---

whats the best 0-60 u have done? Thanks for the explanation buddy!
1. Agree with the comments that it will be very difficult to match the published times which are normally run at temperatures conducive to good performance, & may be times that are corrected based on ambient temperatures. In addition, they are normally run on high traction surfaces, & many runs to achieve optimum acceleration.
2. 2016 Z51 with A8 - Only recorded numbers twice on semi-deserted road - 4.7 seconds & 4.4 seconds.

yeah, same as my car. And my car not even has the z51 package.
Cold January day in Pennsylvania car is 100% stock a8 2017 GS. Using factory launch control for the first time ever. PTM set to "wet" as you can see the roads were a bit damp in some spots.

I was able to get 3.8 0 to 60 multiple times on stock tires with my 2015 C7 A8 Base when it was all stock. Temps need to be atleast 60 degrees for the tires to hook. I was able to do this on an asphalt road with no launch control in Sport and Track mode.

The best 0-60 I can get with my stock C7 Stingray with stock tires is 4.8, but this at elevations of 5500 to 6500 feet in Colorado. I think if I were at sea level, my 0-60 time would be much better.

here in vegas the elevation is around 2000, hard to go better then 4.5/4.4 .
