Default Spark plug wire removal

I want to change my plugs on my 2014 Z51... I went to take off a plug wire and it won't just come off. I am afraid to pull hard or force the wire off the plug because I don't want to mess the wire up....
What is the secret to taking the plug wire off the spark plug? Thank you...

Try giving the boot a twist as you pull. Also try a slight twist before you pull to loosen it. When I take mine off it does take a bit of pressure, but I twist slightly and pull from the boot, not the wire.

squeeze the silver heat shield and pull. twist if you want. it helps to stick your tongue out. also pull the top end off the coil first and let it hang down so its not in your way.

Default Plugs

Today I changed the plugs in my Z51.... OMG they were the hardest to get to plugs I have ever changed....I about never got number 8 plug out and back in...my hand got all cut and bruised....hard to get to number 2 and 4 also but 8 was a bi---....

My car only has 17000 mi on it but I just wanted to change them...the plug box says they are good for 100,000 mi....I just don't like going that long on the same plugs...I felt 17,000 was a lot on them as it is, but I am use to the old plain ole motors of the 60s, ha...

Has anyone found a easier way to change number 8 then I did?

I change my plugs at the 100,000 mile interval specified with no problems. The plugs were worn but never failed to fire.

Think the spark plugs are a pain, switch out the exhaust manifold. It will give you an increased vocabulary .....I promise you!

I did my plugs to
colder plugs when I did my supercharger and having the fuse block out really helped on the passenger side

How can you chg out the pass/side without taking out the fuse block r unhooking them. Even on a 4 post lift from the bottom you can get them out from the bottom. Then that back one is really a pita.
