Grille with cameras made to work in a 2016 1LT without cameras
Has anyone gotten a grille with cameras to work properly in a 1LT car that did not come originally equipped with cameras?

The software isn't there either. There's a long thread about using a cheap camera up front or you can look into navtool.

$20 front camera and $300 Navtool plus 4 or 5 hours of installation and you have a front camera that will appear on you NAV screen. If you are so inclined to add side cameras, you'll have that ability too.

Sorry, I don't understand the question. 14 & 15s didn't have a front camera. The only relatively seamless device that I have found for a front camera has been the NavTool. It provides a front camera "On demand" by pressing and holding the "Back" button on the dash. It automatically gives front video if you go into reverse and then go into D or 1st. The video shuts off at 8 MPH and the NAV screen goes back to normal.
If you can find something else that gives front video, more power to you! I'm done with splitter scraping when I park. NavTool blew it's chance to be a sponsor on here and raised the hackles of many members on here by totally screwing up the release of their product for the Corvette. They did some very foolish posting on here and got themselves banned. Better Business reports have not been too complimentary. I guess I lucked out and muddled my way through the painful release process and got the product to work in my car. Many others have successfully purchased the product and now have front cameras on their cars.
You can stream live video from your phone to the NAV screen and also add side cameras that display when you turn on your turn signals.
Personally, I like the product and it has worked flawlessly for me after the full installation.

On my '16 3LT I've found two ways to engage the front cameras. #1, there's a camera "icon" on the display screen. If I'm in drive and coming entering my garage, for example, I just touch that camera icon and the front cameras come on.
Also, when I back out of my garage the rear cameras are on, then then switching from reverse to drive automatically turns on the front cameras. IF you're going above a certain speed the front cameras won't turn on. Hope that helps.

Used this camera it attaches using a bracket that fits behind you license plate frame. Very easy to install and works great. Got it at Crutchfield
