How are the fit and finish?

I saw a 4 point one that had been installed by Katech made by a german company. It was a very clean installation. Call them for more info.

no affiliation, etc.

Agreed , want to see options. I wouldn't mind sacrificing the rear space but going down the door is a deal breaker for me.

The RPM bar is very nice, the car they developed it on (white c7) is the one we built years ago. I run their bar in my C5 as well, we sell/install quite a few of them and have always been happy with the fit/finish.

I have the RPM 4point cage with SCCA bar in chrome molly on order for my C5 convert, bought through TPS motorsport, all i threads checked seems to agree that it is a very good product regarding quality etcetera.
I opted for the 4 point as it is very easy to remove - install as we have very strict vehicle inspections in Sweden and it would require a new registration of vehicle to have it permanently mounted.
