Default Injector problem

Couple days ago my 2014 Base 42000 miles started missing and Check Engine Light Flashing, Traction Control Light, and Service Stability Control on screen. Took to trusted local mechanic. Codes say miss fire cylinder 7. Has spark and compression. He changed the injector, but codes will not clear and still misfires. Any ideas? I am told that possible ECM issues, but that would be very unlikely. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Bad spark plug? Bad coil pack? Should be easy to swap plug and/or coil to another cylinder to see if the error code moves accordingly.

He tried moving plug wires. Today he is going to check the wires from computer to injector. Also going to disconnect battery to see if that will reset computer.

Dumb question but when you say trusted local mechanic is this not at the dealership? Make sure he isn't looking at the wrong cylinder. 7 is the drivers side closest to the firewall.

Yes he is looking at that cylinder. I live in the Florida Keys and closest dealer is over an hour away and a 300 dollar tow. Which I will now be doing. Hoping it was something simple worth not towing bill.

Taking it to dealer next week. Atleast at this point whatever is wrong should be under warranty.

Warranty should cover the towing (actually flatbed) to the nearest dealer.

Thanks! That's cool, what part of Cincy did you live in?

They said it was a bad lifter and replaced the whole bank of lifters and push rods. After a two week stay at the dealer get it back and make it about two miles before it is running rough, backfiring and diminished power. So back to the dealer it went. Getting very frustrated at this point.

After three times your in Lemon Law territory. If they can't make it right this time, I'd start the paperwork for lemon law..

Did anyone ever find out what happened here ? Same is happening with me .
I was told the culprit were injectors . Mine started blinking CEL and riding rough / service rear axle. Shut it down for about 20 and seemed fine after that . Nothing looks loose . I don't have a warranty as mine is tuned with only 30,000 miles
Any
