Default Where is the NPP exhaust?

Hey guys,
So I still have at least 5 months before I can purchase a new C7 Stingray and don't get me wrong, I'm counting down the days, but I have one question. I've been building different corvettes with different packages etc. on Chevrolet's website and I simply cannot find where, what package, or wherever the NPP exhaust is. Do you guys know how to add this onto the car when ordering?
Thanks,
Jamie G.

Standard on all but non-Z51 Stingray. NPP is the feature code found on the service parts sticker. See EXTERIOR on the "build your own" site.

It may just be listed as Performance Exhaust.
It comes on the Z51, Z06, and Grand Sport, and is a $1195 option on the base car.

Are you trying to order Base Car?

Yes I am! And thanks. I was thinking that may be where it was located.

I'd encourage you to go listen to a few with and without NPP to make sure it is enough for you. Many folks, including myself, don't think the NPP is enough. Some opt for standard exhausts and go aftermarket immediately.

I opted for standard and kept them..
My days of wanting exhaust so loud you cannot talk or hear the radio are gone.

NPP is not that loud. In fact it wasn't loud enough for me. I have since added long tube headers and high flow cats with my NPP and it is not loud it all when I put the NPP in stealth mode. In Track mode, it sounds evil. It's like Jekyll and Hyde... Perfect setup in my opinion...

It is loud if you run the car hard. It may not make much noise sitting at the local cruise in winging the throttle in neutral but under load at wide open throttle at 5 or 6 K rpm it is nasty as hell. That is where it counts, not at the cruise in. On the highway it can be loud but you can shut it down to be whisper quiet. I can tell when the engine goes into V4 mode because the exhaust noise almost seems to go away.

^^^^I was responding to Texhawk0 in that the NPP is not so loud where you cannot talk or hear the radio...In track mode, I think even the stock NPP sounds good and loud, just wanted mine a tad louder which I think a catless x-pipe may have done the trick for me, but I knew headers would definitely do it for me so I went that route.

I'm more curious in the difference in tone, not volume. Can you describe that with NPP open/close? Thanks

You will also find recordings on Youtube that will help some however there is a lot of variance in recording technique so it isn't perfect. I would go to your dealer and listen to a NPP exhaust in the various modes.

Because of the cold start strategy needed to heat the cats quickly to meet emissions the initial startup bark and exhaust is very loud in track or sport mode but this will quickly subside. When traveling I try to remember to set my Z06 exhaust back to tour mode so I don't wake people at the hotel with the cold start but I forgot one morning last summer while in eastern TN. I used the remote start to warm the car up and there were a group of Harley riders at the same hotel and one of them started laughing and said my car just caused his bike to p**s itself. The regular C7 isn't as loud as the Z06 at cold start but they both are loud.

I often leave the NPP in track mode but will switch it to sport mode on long highway trips which kills the drone in track mode that happens at interstate cruising speed.

In track mode, it is louder and the tone is deeper than if you have it in stealth or touring.
