So I drive a 2014 Z51 M7. Driving down the highway last week and the car started making some horrible noises (clunking and grinding). Immediately drove to the dealer. The next day the service manager calls me and says what everyone dreads hearing... "Sorry to tell you this, but you need a new engine"
WHAT!!???!!!
So after a little back and forth with GM they will be replacing my motor. Not thrilled, but at least it is covered.
Thinking I will trade in on a GS just so I can start fresh
They gave me a new engine, but it ended up happening to the new engine too (what are the odds) so I traded the car in for my Z06. Now my Z06 w/ 700 miles has throttle issues below 4k. 3 engines and 3 problems -- how can this be??
^^^ Same here. Did you find out what caused the problem?

Thrust bearing broke and the engine ate it
UPDATE: Just heard back from the dealer... after final diagnostics, the thrust bearing was gone...could not even find the pieces. 1/8 inch play in the crankshaft (HOLY CRAP) and cracked rod in #3 cylinder.
