I have a deposit down on a complete OEM set of rims and tires and I am having second thoughts on if this is the best option after a member mentioned that they have a higher chance of bending on the track. It makes sense because they are not forged but i dont know if that is a reason to risk purchasing them. The price of the rim package attracted me to this idea along with the fact i can get nitto DOT track day tires for it but maybe theres a reason for that and i am screwing myself over. Other option i considered was a c5 Z06 rim but i dont even know where i would find one. Thanks in advance
I have tracked a C6 Z06 and ZR1, and now my C7 Z06 extensively.
I have only run on factory wheels and have never had a problem.
I only do HPDE type events - maybe 15 track days per year. If your Vette is a track-only car, you might consider different wheels for running slicks. But if it's also driven on the street like mine, the factory wheels should work great for you.

Thank you very much for the insight, i will only be tracking it 10-15 times a year and that backs what i was hoping to hear.
