Wow, so your screen wires still kept working loose, and you finally had to have a new screen installed? i'm wondering if the wires on the new screen will do the same thing eventually.

I believe it has to do with the wires connecting to the PCB within the unit, I am guessing they were originally not secured properly to accommodate the wires moving when the screen moves up and down. Funny thing my screen scrolled all the way to the dealer, then stopped when I arrived, I suggest getting a video of the screen rolling. what helped my claim was that I mentioned the fact that I removed the panel and wiggled the wires I could get it to stop for a while, there were times when it went blank too.

Interesting. Mine stays ok as long as i don't bother to lower the screen, but if I do, she goes black again. I've got a track day coming up this Friday, so I'm not messing with it (It's nice to have the PDR for track use). Maybe after track day I'll take mine in.

Not retracting the screen was not a solution in my case, the problem still randomly recurred, if you are under warranty get it fixed, and having the correct bulletin number (PIC5934c), and politely mentioning that it is known failure will help, unless you have a video.
