Default Kooks headers + xpipe

Just ripped out a set of American racing headers and replaced with Kooks headers and catted xpipe on my c7 z51.to the tune of $4000 Now my engine light is on and the code is p2098, post cat fuel trim system low limit bank 2. Basically 02 sensor code. I bought this system cause I heard great things about them and the give a better sound then my old stuff, which it does but I can't stand the engine light on all the time. Any suggestions? Help!!!!!

Hundreds of threads on this topic. Long tube headers require a tune. Even if you had a tune with the previous headers, you will need a retune....

I believe ARH mid lengths did not need a tune.

Kooks offers 2 different cats. The more expensive green cats are not supposed to trigger a check engine light. Some have still had issues with the green cats, but I have them installed with my headers and have not had a check engine light.

As a side note, are you saying that you spent $4000 on the Kooks?

Yes that's Canadian $ including install. Shouldn't have cheaped out on the xpipe and got the green one.

OK, the cost makes more sense now...If you're not concerned about tuning your car, then a tuner can tune out your check engine light. Even with the green cats, tuning will certainly improve the performance. I just didn't want to tune my car yet (warranty concern) and also didn't want the check engine light so I splurged for the green cats. Had I not been concerned about tuning it, I would have went with the cats that you purchased. Since the catted section connects the headers to the x-pipe, you should be able to buy just the green catted connector pipes if push comes to shove...
