Default Software Problems?

I just bought a 2014 Stingray 2LT with less than 9,000 miles a couple of months ago. I only drive it on the weekends and didn't have any problems the first few weeks.

A few weeks ago, my dashboard reset itself while I was driving. I was concerned and had the car checked out at the dealership, but they didn't find anything wrong. A couple of weeks after that the check engine light came on and I couldn't change the driver mode from Tour mode. The car also had problems shifting gears and was accelerating super slowly. I took it into a different shop and they said they think the software may need to be updated.

When I started the car to check if there were still problems a few days later, nothing was wrong. The check engine light was off and I could change the driver modes again.

I'm still going to take it in to the dealership (although they found nothing wrong last time), but has anyone else had this problem? Is this just an issue with the software?

Dealer will read the stored code for your check engine light.
