I bought a 2014 C7 with 15k miles on it from a dealer in North Carolina. The car intermittently popped out of first gear and was super notchy going into gear. I took it into my local dealership to have the fluids changed and they informed me the clutch fluid lookes contaminated and it was the wrong fluid. I paid for the fluid flush and to have it changed, along with every other fluid. I tried contacting the dealership that sold me the car but it didnt get me anywhere. Now with some mild acceleration on the interstate in 4th im getting a burnt smell. Am i expecting too much to say the dealer or GM should help me out here? I purchased the car May 5th and the factory bumper to bumper expires august of this year. I also purchased a GMPP warranty. Thanks for your input guys.
I would take what they said with a grain of salt. The contamination was probably the normal crap that is floating around in the brake fluid from the factory. Is the clutch slipping? Have you taken a look for spilt fluids?
Clutch fluid does not make the clutch slip. It may keep it from DISengagng fully and make shifting difficult but the clutch engagement is completely the function of the springs and facings in the clutch. Your clutch is worn out, likely has nothing to do with the fluid that was in the actuator. The clutch itself is dry, no fluid in it.
Its a wear item like brakes. On a used vette for the second owner, very unlikely GM will do anything.

I agree. It depends on the driver and the previous owner may have ruined the clutch.
The clutches in these cars can take a lot of abuse but some owners don't know how to use them properly. May be why it was sitting on a used car lot instead of in the PO's garage.
Thanks. I know it's DOT 4...just curious what GM uses. I'm getting a nibble on the 3-4 shift and want to swap it out with GMs own fluid before I take it in.

If you want to use GMs own fluid, go to your local dealer and buy it at the parts desk.

There are far better and more cost effective ways to get GM's fluid. The Parts counter will unshirt you for 2-3x what the stuff normally costs. You just need to know what the part number is.

Clutch slipping @ 15k miles.....most likely due to previous owner(s) driving habits. Forget the fluid issue, there is a new clutch in your future.
