Will 2016 base wheels fit a 2016 Z51 without a spacer for caliper clearence. Thanks

yes. only difference is diameter.

I have read you will have clearance issues with the front brake pad weights if you are running stockish brake pads.

counterweights for the rotor fluid, but only the base cars have them. You don't need it if you have a rear sway bar.

Yep. I run the stock 18/19 wheels set up on my Z51 for both track tires and winter tires (I have 2 sets). I change out my front pads and rotors for the track (pfc & DBA's). ON the street, with winter tires, I had to move the wheel weights to the outside of the rim. They are close to the original positions and I don't get any shaking (lucky, I know).


BUT, if you install those wheels, with wheel weights, they will hit the stock brake pads and get ripped off.

the stock style z51 brake front pads have weights attached to the plates that stick out of the calipers. The weights prevent brake squeaking. Track pads do not have these weights but they tend to make noise. Just look at any stock z51 front brakes through the wheels.
