Default Insulating stock air intake ducting

Has anyone attempted this? It seems to me that the only way to improve the stock setup is to do this. All the aftermarket units get their air from the stock location.

I ran a 30 minute session, hard, at the track. Ambient air was upper 80s. Air intake temp never went above 91.

Cold air intake is a farce, and you don't need to insulate your intake. The air goes through the so quick, there will be virtually no thermal energy transfer. The extra power they make is because the filter lets more air (and dust) through.
