Default Cluck/tuck noise when engaging first gear idle

Hello there guys.

Not sure if I posted on the right place. Ever since I bought my c7 7mt I’ve noticed that sometimes when fully stopped. As I’m engaging first gear ( clutch pedal all the way down moving shifter into first) I get a wierd sound that I can only describe as a “cluck” noise. This also comes with quick light forward movement while stop on a light. It dosent happens all the time. I can also sometimes hear the cluck/tuck noise when shifting to third.

Anyone experience this? I’ve driven mt for over 10 years never heard experience this.

Happened on my c5 when I went to a twin, I had to get a new master to move enough fluid to properly disengage the clutch completely. The syncros will allow you to shift with a fairly significant amount of clutch engagement. There are a number of posts in the c5 forums about people putting their car in first on a flat surface and with the clutch petal at the floor it pulling the car forward. If you are getting a lurch I would assume you may have this same situation.

Did you buy it new? It's possible it was serviced and not properly bled, but it isn't something I have read about as a common problem.

I would investigate clutch disengagement. Is there something under the pedal? Does the fluid in the slave look right? My stock 17 doesn't do that so it should work unless something is just broken, it probably has a warranty so I would make it Chevy's problem beyond the simple stuff. Good Luck!

I have this same 'groan/moan' occurring on my 2015 M7 as I release the clutch in 1st gear from a stop. I'm currently at 20k miles but have had this occur a few times since it was brand new. Dealer could not replicate and blew it off until it became more of an issue.

While intermittent, it has become more frequent as it happened again this morning and twice last week, and a couple times over the past couple months. I spoke to dealer again last week and still nothing they will do to investigate under warranty until it finally breaks enough they can reproduce it. So their advice was to drive it until it finally breaks down. Which is a crappy approach to what is supposed to be Chevrolet's flagship product. but it is what it is.

My question is has anyone had the 'groan/moan' finally diagnosed?
