2016 C7 Z51 AR Headers Question
Good afternoon all, I own a 2016 C7 with the Z51 package and am going to have American Racing long-tube headers with off-road x-pipe installed and tuned. I ordered the headers with the high-flow cat option and was wondering if anyone could comment as to the noise difference between the high-flow cats versus no cats. I believe that the off-road x-pipe deletes the secondary cats but I have read that deleting the secondaries doesn't increase the sound too drastically.

I spoke a bit more with my tuner and he said that the main cats are removed by the long-tube system and the secondary cats are optional. He said that without the secondaries, there will be a bit more exhaust smell and the sound is a bit more raspy. He said that he prefers the cleaner sound of running secondary high-flow cats (200 cell). Of course sound is a personal preference so your mileage may vary.
