C7 Z51 hesitation question
I currently own a 2006 C6 I bought new. No complaints but it's a base model so I decided to trade up. Tried out a 2015 Z51 with 3lt trim. Beautiful car but when you rev the engine it starts with a hesitation and an air sucking sound. Dealer didn't care to address the problem. Certainly this isn't a normal sound and an accelerator action I would expect. Reminds me is out of sincronized carbs on anG Midget. Any idea of what it might be?

All I can say is my 16 doesn’t do that. Without you providing a lot more info, anything here is a wild *** guess.
If I were looking at a used C7, I’d probably request it be taken to a dealer and have it checked out. If the car is tuned, I’d like to know that before I buy it. Yes you will pay a bit, but it could save you a lot later.

when looking at cars I sat in/started several and they all did it, Camaro too,, bugged me at first but now I don't think of it much. a friend of mine drove my car and kept stalling from a dead start though.
I figured it has something to do with being programmed hyper lean at idle to make some fuel numbers,,,just a guess

What I think it might be is an intentional design feature to aid the driver in getting back on the throttle after apexing so that you don't inadvertently spin the car off the road. The throttle opens slowly compared to most of what we drive and the perception is that the engine is lagging. I've seen video where Randy Pobst was discussing this particular feature (although I think he was talking about another GM car, like maybe the Camaro) and he was very pleased with it.
The C5 Z06 did not have this arrangement and it took a high percentage of brain cells to remind yourself to be very gentle with the throttle while exiting a corner.
