Default Fueling Questions

Didn't find much information searching through the forum on the big bore direct injection high volume fuel pump by Lingenfelter. I just got in the boost scene so I'm guessing it might of just came out?

I know one option for the LT1 motors is upgrading to the Lt4 high pressure fuel pump which cost $850-950.

Now with the Lingenfelter fuel pump option is it worth the $500-$600 with a stock cam I am trying to find out vs the Lt4 fuel pump?

LPE states their "big bore" pump flows 10% more flow than a LT4 pump. At a cost of $1495 compared to around $750-$900 for a LT4 pump you have to ask yourself if the "10%" more flow is worth $500 to you.

Wasn't me. I run the LT4 hardware and make plenty of power with it.

That's the exact predicament I am in. What is "10% more fuel" power wise I could gain vs the extra $500

Not even worth thinking about it that way IMO. You can make 900 wheel with LT4 fueling.

Well that's plenty enough for me as I won't have the supporting mods to reach that. Am I limiting myself at some point with the stock cam and the lt4 pump? I assume at some point you can only throw so much fuel at it and amount of fuel the engine can effectively and efficiently burn and get rid of, will dictate the power the engine will generate.

You may be limiting yourself but that depends what your power goals are. Tell us what you are looking to achieve powerwise and what you already have done and we can tell you how to get there along with what fueling setup you will need to achieve it.

Aldo weld breather can

Currently at 650whp/ 610Torq and out of fuel.

My goal is to reach 700-750whp now. I rather trust my tune and not do pistons till I decide to crack open the motor and install a cam. I just didn't know if I could pump more fuel with the Lingenfelter pump that claims more fuel flow with the stock cam and be fine / gain anything over the lt4 which sounds like will supply plenty enough fuel for my goals.

To get to your goal you need to do the LT4 HPFP and a lash cap, which will boost your high side fuel delivery about 40%. Then you need to drop a couple pulley sizes on the blower to get it to max output. Since you are already running dual meth you will be good on the fueling, just know that at WOT the meth will be required for not only octane but as a supplemental fuel source. Forget the Lingenfelter pump. You don't need it. I would estimate those mods alone will get you around 700-715hp. How many lbs of boost you runnig with your current setup? 650 seems high for a 4.0 pulley..

Thanks for the much info. I believe 12lbs. I am going to confirm on Tuesday.
