Side window venting question
2017 Corvette GS. What is the technology behind the side window moving down slightly when the door is opened, then moving back up when the door is closed? I know its purpose, but how does it work? Shape Memory Alloy?

The door switches send a signal (more likely a ground connection) to the door control module which initiates the door opening process. My 2008 Z06 suddenly developed a nervous window when it started going up and down between the door open and door closed position. The dealer replaced the door control module and the problem went away. I suspect the C7 architecture is basically the same although the actual module involved may be a newer technology.
