And not sure where you get $0.20 more? 93 is +$0.60 more than 87 in Texas. Fill up with 16 gallons of gas is an extra $9.60. 1 tank of gas per week is $500 more a year. OP wants to know if this extra money is worth it?

OP, My thoughts are stay away from possible detonation from the higher compression from running 87. I usually run 93 but do not hesitate to fill up with 89. I will not risk anything with 87 though for the little savings it provides..
Here in Springfield, Missouri, 91 runs ~$0.40 a gallon more than 87. 93 runs a little more money than 91, but it is getting harder to find. When I travel to Arkansas, 93 and 91 are priced about the same and runs about $.040 a gallon more than 87.

I run ethanol free 91 in all four of my cars(93 on my Z06 when it is available) and in my riding lawnmower. Skipping one lunch per week will pay for the 91 that week and will make it easier to get in and out of your Corvette after you lose some of that excessive weight.

I noticed this morning that prices for regular have dropped quite a bit over the past few days, but premium prices seem to be staying up. I just checked a large Cenex(Top Tier) station near me that has 87 for $2.45 and 93 for $3.05. Exactly a $0.60 spread.
